Hello California!

We have finally made it to our new home and we are now getting settled. I have not updated my blog in a long time since I do facebook, so if you are still following let me know and I will keep updating.

A (that is what I am calling our little one for privacy purposes) did well during the move and seems to know that our house is now "home."

White Rock Lake

Today was the most beautiful day we have had in a long time. One benefit of working for myself is taking a break when I want to. I do not think we have ever taken Addison down to White Rock Lake to walk. I just got the jogging stroller a few weeks ago so I used that and it is difficult! Years ago I would run around the whole lake so it was fun for me to get to share the lake with Addison. I ran 2 miles then we turned around and walked back. She enjoyed seeing people to say "hi" to, dogs, ducks, butterflies and birds. I enjoyed the nice weather, beautiful view and dream houses along the lake.

School

Addison started going one day a week to a church Mother's Day Out program. She is there from 9-2 which is a long day but a good break for me. I am able to schedule appointments or just catch up on what I want to do. She seems to like it. When I mention school she says "Say bye-bye Mommy at school." She is usually pretty tired for the rest of the day. You can see her carrying her backpack and lunchbox. She usually likes to carry it all the way from her classroom until I pick her up by the cars. Another perk is that she sings "Jesus Loves Me" all the time now.

Feeding Henry

A little mommy in the making! After Addison was done eating she took Henry's spoon and fed him dinner. By the way...Henry is 6 months older.

July Kansas trip

For my (Laura's) birthday we took a trip to Kansas. That was our only free weekend for June and July. We had a nice time with Jeff's family in Topeka then we stopped by Winfield to spend time with my sister and her family. Addison and Henry LOVE playing together and I think it took about 30 seconds of seeing each other to get reintroduced and start running everywhere. We took them to the park the morning we left so you can see them sliding together here.

Professional gymbo pictures

More pictures from the Gymboree Open House. The one of the 2 of us made the video at Gymboree so if you go to classes you may see it! I am still getting used to being the mom participating in the class versus being the teacher . I taught Music Together for years and we do all those songs at home so Gymboree is giving us more variety and more physical skills for Addison.

Gymbo party

Gymboree just opened right by our house so we joined. This was taken at the Gymbo party on Friday to celebrate the grand opening. Addison is approaching Gymbo because he has bubbles!!
