I am testing my mac and it should be easier to blog now.  This is my little cutie getting out all the plasticware from her cupboard and arranging it.  Isn't her dress so cute?!

Visiting friends

My friend Tracy from and her kids were in town for a visit this week. She has 2 boys, one who was born right before Jeff and I got married, and the other one was born 5 weeks after Addison. You can see them playing in our kitchen and dancing to Addison's piano.

1st Birthday

My baby is 1 year old, which I guess does not make her a "baby" any more. Now that she is the big ONE, she can walk, run, talk and eats just about anything. We have come so far in a year! The best part for me is that she sleeps so much compared to a year ago. I am remembering the first few weeks when she would not sleep more than 2 hours at a time and even if we took turns, 3 hours was a lot of sleep for me. Now she sleeps so much that I wish she was awake more so we could play!! She gets cuter and smarter everyday and I am continually amazed by how quickly she learns things. She is such a blessing to our lives!!!

Holidays

We did the grand tour of Kansas for Christmas this year. We saw most of Jeff's family in Topeka and Kansas City. We also stayed with our friends Dale and Erin for a couple nights. Then we headed to Derby to meet my parents at my sister's house. We had a great time being with family. It is challenging travelling with a little one and she had a few nights of crying while she tried to go to sleep, but overall she did great! She enjoys walking all over and exploring people's homes. While in Kansas City we were able to go the Toy and Miniature Museum to see my grandma's doll quilt exhibit. It was a treat to be able to see my Grandma's collection displayed at the beautiful museum.

Silly Noises

It has been a long time since I have added a post. I usually do my updating to facebook, but many of you may be more likely to check updates here so I will add them periodically.

As we approach Addison's first birthday she can already walk and talk! Her words right now are "mama" "baba=bye bye" "clock" "up" "uh-oh" and every animal or baby is "kitty". She can also understand more than she can say. Whenever I say, "would you like to go up and take a nap?", she walks to the gate on the stairs and says "up". She can crawl up the stairs with supervision. She still takes 2 naps a day lasting 45 minutes to 2 1/2 hours each and sleeps 12-13 hours at night. It seems she is only awake about 6 hours a day and 1/2 of that is spent eating. We are having fun!!
