Kitty

I taught Addison how to play with Rogue and they both had fun for awhile.  She keeps a respectful distance from the cats and most dogs most of the time.

15 months old!!

Time is flying!  Addison is growing and changing by the minute.   Today we had her 15 month old appointment and she is doing great.  She is long and lean...I don't know where she gets that.  95% for her heighth!!  I filled out the developmental questionnaire and they asked if she knew at least 4 other words besides "mama" and "dada".  Are you kidding me?  She is up to at least 40 words...but as my mom says..."She is not actually reading yet".  However, she can count to 2.  Here are some of her words that she uses everyday:
Mommy
Daddy
Papa = Grandpa
Cookie
Milk
Water
Cracker
Cheese
Kitty
Doggie
Birdie
Butterfly (not much different from birdie..but a mom knows)
Elmo
Mow-yes she means mow the lawn...her hearing is amazing
Car
Purple
Ball
All Done
Two
Hot
Cold
Coffee
Thank you-she said this to a church nursery worker after she gave her a drink
Shoe
Sock
Ahchoo
Duck
Clock
Belly
Eye
Hi-to everyone in the grocery store etc.
Bye bye

I could go on...but you get the idea that I think she is very bright!!!!

Trip to Nebraska

We went to Nebraska in March to see my (Laura) side of the family.  My grandparents are moving out of the house they have lived in for more than 50 years and I wanted to see it again.  You can see Addison playing in the backyard of the house.  We stayed in Omaha and made trips to Lincoln to see family.  We also got to see the room dedicated to my grandma-"The Mary Campbell Ghormley Reading Room" at the International Quilt Study Center.  We had a family party for Jeff's birthday with lots of food and games.  My cousin's son Peter really liked playing with Addison.

2nd Easter

Addison's 2nd Easter!!  We went to 9:00am church and since it was cold and rainy it was not too crowded.  Then we went home for naps before Sunday dinner.  My parents had us over for a nice Easter dinner and Addison's Uncle Todd joined us.  We are blessed to have family in town!  I liked dressing Addison in a pretty dress!

Hidden Treasure Cupcakes from Addison's 1st birthday party.  She still did not eat them.  They were pink with marshmallows on the inside.  We made whipped cream frosting for hers so it wouldn't have much sugar but she does not like sticky things so we just ate them all!

April Fools Day

I have not added much lately....so here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.  You can see Addison enjoying her birthday party and opening all her fun gifts.  We also have been taking her to the park on nice days and she loves it.  She loves to swing just like her Mommy used to and she also has fun going down the slides.  Running around outside is really her favorite activity so we take her to the park or just outside on our sidewalk as much as we can.  Yesterday we had fun chasing birds and butterflies.  I am so lucky that I get to spend so much time with her to enjoy all these moments.  Everyday she learns a new word or discovers something in the world around her.  She is 14 months old now!!!

Describe Yourself: First Time Parent

My daughter has to have this blanket to go to sleep. It is different from other blankets like this because the lamb has arms. She likes to chew on the arms to soothe herself to sleep.
